Aaron and Petra return to find the 12th Realm in turmoil. The Coalition is falling apart as rebellion paralyses many Colonies. The Krell Emperor is dying and the Empire is fracturing – it all appears to be linked.

A cruise liner is hijacked; a new battle cruiser is captured. Somehow the dimensions are being bridged and ancient human technology is at the core. Inter-dimensional forces are mobilised to invade the12th Realm; all that stands between freedom and enslavement is Aaron Abraham, a small group of Freebooters and a strategic alien alliance.
To stop the invasion, a co-ordinated attack in two realms is prepared; the plan is to destroy both gates simultaneously. But, an eleventh-hour revelation forces Petra to risk a desperate gamble to stop the destruction. If she fails, her lover will be the one who kills her. To survive she needs a miracle!
